“I'm convinced that quality outdoor naked time is the secret to health and longevity.”Kaya McLaren
Church of the Dog, Page: 35
No, I am not suggesting that we all run naked through the streets. The world we currently live in is far too grown-up for that! It makes me think, though, or reminisce about the days when it was ok to run naked through a sprinkler…cover each other with silly string…or paint with our fingers…
The world isn’t like that anymore – sadly, even for our children.
In a world that is now moving faster than we can possible keep up with, playing dress-up has become serious business. It is difficult to know who to be, or who we are.
Plato once said, “You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.”
Who were you, before you were aware that someone was watching you? What captured your attention so much that everything else magically disappeared? When was the last time you played like that?
Maybe it’s time to pull out the sandbox, the play dough and the finger paints. Perhaps it is not true that we need to keep up, but it is the world that needs to slow down and stop taking itself so seriously!
Take a moment to ask ~ how did life get so serious? Come on, we all have those days! Today is the first day of the rest of your life! Wake up, rediscover your Magical Mysterious Self and claim a little piece of happiness!
